This Privacy Policy explains how WatchFor (“WatchFor,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the WatchFor mobile application, website, AI agents, notifications, integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using WatchFor, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

We may collect information you provide when creating or managing your account, such as:

• Date of Birth
• Phone number
• Email address
• Login method
• OTP verification information
• Profile photo
• About/profile description
• Language preference
• Account settings

If you choose to sign up, sign in, recover your account, or verify your identity using a phone number, we collect and process your phone number, OTP verification status, verification attempt metadata, message delivery status, timestamps, and related security logs

B. Profile and Privacy Settings

We may collect and store your choices relating to:

• Profile visibility
• Profile photo visibility
• Watcher visibility
• Notification settings
• Blocked users
• Account verification settings
• Phone number verification status
• Account recovery preferences, if available
• Language preferences
• Help, support, feedback, and account deletion requests

C. Contacts and Watchers

We do not upload the full address book unless the user explicitly chooses that feature if available. If you grant permission, WatchFor may access your phone contacts to help you:

• Add people request watchers to watch for. You will be able to add to your list of people you care about.
• Add people as watchers to invite, add, manage, block, or remove as watchers.

Contact information that is obtained from your phone contacts will include:

• Names
• Phone numbers
• Email addresses
• Physical address

We use contact information to support watcher invitations, request routing, identity matching, notifications, and app functionality. You can control contact permissions through your device settings.

D. Saved Lists

WatchFor may collect information you create in your saved lists, including:

• People you care about
• Their relationship to you
• Their date of birth and age (which you can choose to share or hide with the watchers)
• Optional contact information
• Product or service names and categories
• Desired purchase details, price ranges, availability criteria, or locations
• Things to track, such as pets, property, delivery, mail, or home-related items
• News, event, stock, sports, finance, political, or topic interests
• Notes and optional details you provide

E. WatchFor Requests

When you create a request, we may collect:

• Request type
• Person, product, service, thing, topic, event, or location being watched
• Reason for the request
• Criteria such as price, availability, keywords, timing, urgency, or location
• Watchers or AI agents selected
• Draft and sent request status
• Shared link settings
• Attention-tag settings
• Request history and metadata

F. Responses, Chats, and Activity

We may collect information related to requests and responses, including:

• Accepted or ignored requests
• Chat messages
• AI agent responses
• Human watcher responses
• Attention-tagged messages
• Read, viewed, or interaction status
• Timestamps
• In-app activity related to requests
• Notifications sent, opened, or acted upon

Responses are visible to the requester, individual watcher, public group members, individual watcher in a private group, or AI agent systems.

G. AI Agent and Connected Source Data

If you use AI agents or connect external sources, we may process information from:

• Websites and public online sources
• News feeds
• Product and pricing sources
• Stock or financial data sources
• Service availability sources
• Authorized camera or video feeds
• Authorized APIs or connected services
• Third-party AI agent providers

The specific information collected depends on the AI agent, integration, permissions, and request configuration.

H. Location Information

WatchFor may collect location-related information if you provide it or enable location permissions. This may include:

• Locations added to requests
• Physical locations to watch
• Approximate or precise device location, if enabled
• Location metadata from connected services

You can control location permissions through your device settings.

I. Device, Usage, and Technical Information

We may automatically collect:

• Device type
• Operating system
• App version

• Device identifiers
• Browser or mobile environment
• Crash logs
• Performance data

• API usage
• Feature usage
• Notification delivery and interaction data

J. Payment and Subscription Information

If paid features, AI agent subscriptions, credits, rewards, or micropayments are enabled, we may collect payment-related information. Payments may be processed by third-party providers, app stores, or payment processors. We generally do not store full payment card details.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and manage user accounts
• Verify phone numbers, emails, and login credentials. We use phone numbers and OTP verification information to send one-time SMS verification codes, authenticate users, prevent unauthorized account access, detect fraud or abuse, support account recovery, and maintain the security of the Services.
• Provide onboarding and app functionality
• Help users create, send, receive, accept, ignore, and respond to WatchFor requests
• Manage watchers, watcher groups, AI agents, and saved lists
• Send push notifications, SMS, email, and in-app alerts
• Enable chat and attention-tagged messages
• Operate AI agents and automated monitoring features
• Process product, service, news, event, price, video, or other watch criteria
• Provide support and respond to feedback
• Improve app usability, reliability, and performance
• Prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorized access

3. AI Processing

WatchFor may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and third-party AI providers to process information and generate responses, classifications, summaries, alerts, confidence scores, or recommendations. AI processing may be used to:

• Scan public or authorized sources
• Identify matching news or events
• Detect price or availability changes
• Analyze request criteria
• Evaluate authorized images or video frames
• Generate AI agent responses
• Prioritize alerts
• Reduce irrelevant notifications

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or misleading. You should independently verify important information before relying on it.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following ways:

A. With Watchers and Request Participants

Information in a request are shared with the watchers or AI agents selected by the requester. Visibility depends on request settings:

• Individual watcher requests may be visible only to the requester and the selected watcher.
• Public group requests may allow group members to see each other’s responses.
• Private group requests may allow the requester to see all responses while watchers do not see each other’s responses.
• AI agent requests may be processed by WatchFor or approved third-party AI providers.

B. With Service Providers

We may share information with vendors that help us operate WatchFor, such as:

• Cloud hosting providers
• Authentication providers
• SMS and email providers
• Push notification providers
• Analytics providers
• Customer support tools
• Payment processors
• AI model or AI agent providers
• Security and monitoring providers

These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us.

C. With Third-Party Integrations

If you connect or use a third-party service, we may share or receive information according to your authorization and the integration’s functionality. Third-party integrations may include app stores, payment gateways, messaging platforms, news APIs, pricing APIs, camera systems, cloud services, or other connected systems.

5. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

WatchFor does not sell personal information to third parties. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide choices where required by law. WatchFor does not sell personal information. WatchFor does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share phone numbers and SMS-related information with service providers, such as SMS delivery providers, authentication providers, hosting providers, and security vendors, only as needed to provide account verification, authentication, fraud prevention, security, and related service functionality.

6. Privacy Controls

WatchFor may allow you to control:

• Profile visibility
• Profile photo visibility
• Watcher settings
• Notification preferences
• Contact access
• Location access
• Linked accounts
• Blocked users
• Account deletion

Some permissions, such as contacts, camera, location, microphone, and notifications, may also be managed through your device settings.

7. Contacts Privacy

If you grant access to contacts, we use contact information to help you invite and manage watchers. We do not allow users to spam contacts through WatchFor. We may restrict accounts that misuse invitations or shared links. Contacts who are invited to WatchFor may receive a message or link related to a request, depending on the feature used.

8. Shared Links and External Sharing

If you share a WatchFor request link outside the app, the information you include in that request may become accessible to recipients depending on the link settings. We are not responsible for actions taken by recipients outside WatchFor, including forwarding, screenshots, copying, or sharing request information. Use caution before including personal, sensitive, location-based, health-related, financial, or safety-related details in shared links.

9. Children and Minors

WatchFor is not intended for users under 18 years old. Users may create requests involving children or minors, such as watching for a child’s arrival, safety, or wellbeing. In such cases, the requesting user is responsible for ensuring they have the legal right and appropriate consent to share information about the minor. Do not use WatchFor to collect, share, or monitor information about minors unlawfully or without appropriate authority.

10. Sensitive Information

WatchFor may allow users to include sensitive information in requests, such as safety concerns, health-related notes, location details, family information, or urgent observations. However, WatchFor is not designed to be a medical records system, emergency response system, licensed security system, or professional care management platform. WatchFor is not a surveillance, tracking, emergency response, medical monitoring, child supervision, eldercare, or security service. Please share only what is necessary.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Services
• Maintain your account
• Support request and response history
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Maintain backups and security records

When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information where required, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud prevention, and operational retention needs. Some content may remain visible to other users if it was previously shared with them, such as chat messages, responses, notifications, or request history.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. These may include encryption, access controls, authentication, monitoring, and secure infrastructure practices. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information in the application or by requesting us
• Request us to delete your information
• Request us to export your information
• Request us to restrict or object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Manage marketing and notification preferences

You may submit requests through the app or by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. You can delete your WatchFor account within the app from App Settings > Account > Delete Account menu option, or request deletion of your account at https://watchfor.com/account-deletion. Deleting your account may remove or disable access to your profile, requests, watcher lists, chats, saved lists, and related data, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud prevention, or operational retention needs. Some information shared with other users may remain visible to them, such as prior chat messages, request history, or notifications already received.

14. International Users

WatchFor is operated from the United States. If you access WatchFor from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

15. Third-Party Links and Services

WatchFor may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party services.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of WatchFor after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
